Co-Founder

Scott Johnson

PT, MSPT, OCS, CF-L1

You’ve gotta meet Scott—he’s one of those people who’s seen it all in the world of sports rehab, and somehow still brings the same energy to every session.

Scott’s a physical therapist who originally hails from Michigan, where he studied Exercise Science at Grand Valley State before heading to North Carolina for his Master’s in Physical Therapy. But after school, he set his sights on the mountains—and hasn’t looked back since.

His journey started in Colorado Springs, where he had the chance to work with everyone from Olympic hopefuls in Judo and Figure Skating, to NFL pros, pro boxers, elite runners, and CrossFit Games athletes. From there, he moved to Aspen for more adventure—and more mentorship, working with X-Games athletes.

Then came Billings, Montana—where Scott noticed that CrossFit and Olympic weightlifters weren’t being taken care of properly in the medical world. So he decided to change that. He opened his own clinic—starting with just a table in the corner of a CrossFit gym—and built it into a full-on facility. The best part? A bunch of those athletes made their way to the CrossFit Games under his care.

Michael Hernandez
Co-Founder

Michael Hernandez

PT, DPT, TPI, CF-L1

If you’re into CrossFit, golf, or just want a PT who actually gets what you’re trying to do—meet Michael.

Michael’s journey into health and performance started in 2013 when he enlisted in the Army National Guard as a healthcare specialist. As a medic, he worked alongside a company PA to evaluate, diagnose, and treat soldiers dealing with everything from illness to traumatic injuries.

In 2018, while juggling full-time undergrad studies, Michael took on a full-time coaching role as a CrossFit trainer—building programs, writing custom plans, and helping athletes chase down goals one rep at a time. That same year, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Oregon State University.

During his first year of PT school, Michael and Scott Johnson teamed up to open PhysioFIT, with the vision of creating a clinic that actually matched the way they wanted to care for people—deeply, purposefully, and with zero shortcuts. Since then, Michael’s added a new layer to his expertise with a certification from the Titleist Performance Institute.

Zach Munizza
Physical Therapist

Zach Munizza

PT, DPT, CSCS

Hey, meet Zach – one of our go-to guys for knees, ankles, and just getting people back to doing what they love.

Zach’s a physical therapist who’s seriously passionate about helping people move and feel better—whether you’re coming off an injury or just want to stay active without pain. He’s especially dialed in when it comes to lower body stuff—think knees, ankles, all that good (and sometimes tricky) territory.

He grew up in Puyallup, Washington, went to Eastern Washington University for undergrad, then made the bold move to the Gold Coast in Australia to earn his Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University. That experience gave him a cool international perspective on rehab and performance.

After a few years of sunshine, surfing, and sharpening his craft, he came back stateside to be closer to family. He’s got that perfect mix of clinical know-how and down-to-earth vibe. Whether you’re an athlete, a weekend warrior, or someone who just wants to walk the dog without pain, Zach’s the kind of guy who’s got your back (and your knees and ankles, too).

Kelsey
Physical Therapist

Kelsey Hanson

PT, DPT

You’ve gotta meet Kelsey—she’s one of those clinicians who brings equal parts calm confidence, deep experience, and genuine enthusiasm to every athlete she works with.

Kelsey grew up in Michigan, splitting her high-school years between Colorado and back home, where she competed in wrestling and finished as the Women’s Nationals Runner-Up at 103 lbs. She went on to the University of Michigan, earning both her BSE and MSE in Mechanical Engineering, all while coxing for the rowing team and managing the Michigan Wrestling program from 2004–2010.

After engineering, Kelsey chased adventure. She moved to Costa Rica, where she spent three years coaching surfing and repairing boards—a chapter that pushed her deeper into movement, coaching, and hands-on problem-solving. That path eventually led her to Hawai’i Pacific University, where she completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy and merged her engineering mind with human performance.

Kelsey brings over 30 years of climbing experience and 15 years coaching athletes from brand-new climbers to national competitors. She’s built youth climbing teams, introduced strength programs, and helped shape training systems that improve performance while reducing climbing-related injuries. She’s also a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt, both a competitor and coach, which gives her rare insight into the demands of grappling, joint loading, and return-to-mat rehab.
